We want your control chart data!
We've always had an "open door" policy on the website, welcoming your questions and your data. At times, we may not be so explicit in inviting you to contact us with your observations, comments, inquiries, and frustrations, but we do want to hear from you.
Now, we're asking for a more specific set of data from you - for your problem methods, show us a few months of QC data, ideally with notations such as new control lot, new reagent, recalibration, etc.
What would we do with such data? First of all, we would keep your laboratory identity anonymous. We will even keep the instrument name anonymous. What we will do is examine the charts and see if there are any clues about what's happening to the method. Then we will share the advice and observations with you and the rest of the website audience. Depending on the response and our own resources, this could become a regular feature of the website.
If you're interested, please send the data and details to [email protected] . Please note: we can't guarantee we will be able to answer everyone. The website now has close to 14,000 members and a weekly volume of around 10,000 visitors. We will not be able to answer everyone's questions. We will have to pick and choose and focus on situations where we have the best opportunity to teach something to a wide audience.
But for those who do send in interesting data and get selected for review and display, we'll provide a small gift, such as a bit of "Westgard Wear" or a complimentary book or course.
Thanks again for your patronage of the website, blog, and training portal of Westgard QC. We look forward to working together with you even more closely in the future.
